Beautiful vistas on the drive to Lawrence- a KSU and a KU win, (and a Texas loss)! Then fun with Anna watching the KU game, dinner at On the Border, and the movie "The King's Speech"
Lunch at Subway with mom, a chase for a new laptop hard drive (I'm quickly taking up all the space), dinner at Hy-Vee with mom and dad, and I watched the KU vs. OSU game back in Merriam.
Fun day flying kites with the fam, and eating ice cream and scoping out sales at the closing Borders in Lawrence. I had dinner at Godfather's with mom and dad- with lightning in the distance!!
Mom's birthday party! We went with Grandma Jan and Pa to El Mezcal where she got a sombrero to celebrate. Also, Lindsey and Chad dropped off Mrs. Rich's valentine gift for me, we went shoe shopping and I got rain boots for the upcoming season, and we went to see Grandma Lee- fun day!
I bought my Josh Groban concert tickets today!!!! :) Kevin and I went to a little hole in the wall establishment in KCMO by the train tracks and the river for his rugby tournament. It was very interesting, and a fun time!
Warm, windy day!! :) I found out today that Josh Groban is coming to KC on tour!! Also, Lindsey and I went to the park with Wally for a walk. A fun day!
Today I reserved my hotel room at The James in Chicago in case we are able to go to NeoCon this year! :) The KU vs KSU basketball game was unexpected, and my pretty tulips were great to have today! :)
Bride and Bridesmaid dress shopping with the girls! Lindsey found her dress and we all found our bridesmaid dresses! I didn't draw Lindsey in her final dress choice to protect it until the day! :)
Still sick, but very much on the mend. Watched the celebration of the transfer of power in Egypt from Mubarak to the military all day today. What an incredible example that people of one mind and social networks can accomplish so much!
Sick. Meh. Had a Starbuck's Carmel Apple Spice to try to ward it off, but I think it will take more than that! It snowed and turned into rain, at lunch where we went to Piasano's with G. Lee! We also watched the Superbowl- I'm glad the Packers won- that means Jordy Nelson who played for K State when I was there won!!
Happy Groundhog day!! I sure hope he's right, and that Spring's coming early this year! It got a good start this morning with the ice melting off my window!
